For the last couple of years I've mostly been shooting portraits on location -which has been great fun. Earlier this year when the New York sky was grey and uninspiring I decided it was time to get back in to the studio and shoot some new portrait work, where I, for once was in control of both light and the environment.
I wanted to capture portraits that felt "unstaged" (which is always a challenge when shooting in studio) and also allow the viewer to create their own narratives. More images from this series will be available through Gallery Stock.
New short film on challenges and creativity
In this short film, robotics and furniture designer Jessica Banks of Rockpaperrobot talks about overcoming creative challenges. The film is part of an ongoing personal project about creatives and how they overcome frustration, pressure and failure.

All images are printed in 24x36" (60x90 cm) on semi-gloss archival paper and available in open edition to help keep the prices down a bit. For any questions just shoot me an email
Panamá City for enRoute Magazine
Over the next couple of weeks I plan to post a couple of spread sheets from shoots I've done over the last couple of months. First out is a story about the transformation of Panamá City that I shot for enRoute. I've also included a couple of my favorites images which didn't make the final edit. The full story can be found here.

Visual Structures is a series of digital compositions consisting of urban elements from Jakarta, Tokyo, Mumbai, New York, Chicago, São Paulo, Dubai, London, Miami and Seattle. Together they form an endless urban landscape of glass, steel and reinforced concrete, cast in a seemingly repetitive universal framework.
While statues of Kings and Emperors were the manifest of old-world sovereignty, these structures come to represent the symbol of new-world Globalization. These vertical structures are not only a sign of rising prosperity but more importantly a coming-of-age symbol, especially in developing nations. Visual Structures is the representation of our modern civilization’s steady march towards global homogenization.
